The artpiece “Wind” was painted especially for children to allow them to learn more about the fascinating world of weather. “Wind” is also an excellent tool to explain to little kids the weather element wind. On that painting, there is a strong wind blowing; light yellow fields are dancing; sweet wind-driven windmills are spinning, trees are shaking by the storm.

What is wind?
For us, wind is air in motion. For little kids – it is an emotion.

What are windmills?
For us, windmills are used to produce electricity from wind. For little kids – they are magic wands.

How do windmills work?
According to us windmills work because they slow down the speed of the wind. The wind flows over the airfoil shaped blades causing lift, causing them to turn. The blades are connected to a drive shaft that turns an electric generator to produce electricity. For little kids it works by closing the eyes and making a wish.
