Christmas Eve And My Destiny!

Christmas Eve And My Destiny!

Christmas what a magical time! You better not shout you better not cry you better not cause Im telling you why Santa Claus is coming to town. So I agreed to attend a Christmas Eve ball at the local club. Incidentally I was invited by one of the many girls who call me Bhaiya; I am not the type to refuse an invitation from a lady since it would be very ungentleman like. Have a good impression with the ladies lest you cannot muster up the courage to talk my guideline. The event required men to wear a suit which I find quite tedious to wear kudos to all the ladies who put in every effort to dress well and enjoy the experience.

There I was ready in my best suit and a few minutes before time waiting at the gate for the girls to arrive. I met the group and they seemed impressed by the suit; it was the girls who called me Bhaiya with other girls. That meant better behavior than usual etiquette class instructions and a chance at impressing the other girls who did not know me and most of all did not call me Bhaiya my joy knew no bounds. I conceived that chivalry was not dead and according to the glossies in the papers was making quite a comeback. So I pulled the chair back for a lady asked if anyone need a drink or something to eat all the works as I assumed. No drinks as I had to be on my best behavior.

There were other guys as well and one of them decided on drinking the screwdriver cocktail and to my surprise was drunk on having a single drink proved by the fact that he wished me Merry Christmas and hugged me about three times. So I was managing and controlling him as well more points to me for behaving well so I thought. There was a DJ so there was dancing and the night was quite enjoyable. Shortly after midnight after the Christmas wishes the girls who had invited me decided to leave. So they called it a night and I agreed. As they were leaving they asked me of I could drop two of their friends off. Dropping girls off is every single mans dream as it is supposed to make a great impression. I agreed in a flash this was the best shot I had.

So I took the girls to my car held the door open and made sure they were seated well. Asked them for directions to their house and made good small talk along the way. The only thing I did not do was ask their number the drunken guy had asked before we left and they seemed quite displeased but still gave them their numbers.Dropped them off at their respective houses said the customary goodbyes. I felt quite pleased with myself for being the perfect gentleman and behaving well.

A few days later I got to know form a few common friends that they had met a nice guy who dropped them home late at night and termed him me as Bhaiya! Poetic justice or just Bhaiya vibes world famous in India I did not have the faintest of clues. Now on that car ride I felt I had done everything right or so I thought that was the time I needed Mels mind reading powers the most not having a clue did not help either. The drunken guy was dancing with one of the girls at New Years Eve a week later. Bhaiya my destiny!
